Apparently Rihanna has been approached about contributing a new song for the "Getting to Happy" soundtrack.
So has Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Kim Burrell, Donna Summer, CeCe Winans, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer
Hudson, Fantasia, Jonelle Monae, Duffy, Mary J. Blige and Beyonce.
Not everyone who is approached will make the final cut for the CD. Apparently they want only the best tracks
from multiple submissions from different "relevant" female artists and a few legends.
Rihanna is also interested in playing one of the daughters in the movie or something. Apparently there's
a chance Bow Wow has tested to play Bernadine's son. This is a very reliable source. Nothing whatsoever however is signed, finalized or even recorded yet.
Several key songwriters have been asked to create a "Signature Song" for Whitney Houston to sing lead on
as a "Quartet" single with possibly 2 to 3 other top stars. Sort of like the "That's What Friends Are For" quartet (Dionne, Stevie, Elton & Gladys).
For Whitney they want younger duet people.
Whitney is supposedly going to have 3 songs on the CD.
