Police say Brea took Yannick Brea hostage in their Brooklyn apartment before stabbing her multiple times, fatally.
Local news reports claim the woman was decapitated.
Neighbors heard the disturbance at around 1:30 a.m. and alerted authorities, who had to taser Michael L.Brea before taking him into custody and transporting him to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
According to a neighbor, Brea could be heard yelling, “Repent, Repent, Repent” during the
incident.

Clear case of Schizophrenia. I knew a guy years ago that had that and did the same preaching and repent type stuff. It is by far the scariest mental illness there is.

Mental Illness is treatable. People please seek help for yourself or a loved one if you think things have taken a turn for the worse, because if you suspect it, it’s probably true.
