But this is no ordinary cheese dress – it is a couture stilton cheese number that is anything but stinky.
Inspired by a British heritage brand in honour of London Fashion Week, it is aiming to promote blue cheese among Britain's youth.
The Coronation Street actress isn’t a stranger to designer dresses – or flashing her long legs – but this was daring even for her as she literally covered herself in cheese for fashion’s sake. But Brooke wasn’t just being a die-hard fashion fan - she was doing her bit for the popular delicacy.
By creating a dress made out of the mouldy stuff, the Stilton Cheesemakers Association – who commissioned the piece - were hoping to highlight the fact that it is a versatile cheese.
Nigel White, from the Stilton Cheesemakers Association explained: 'This stunning dress, worn by Brooke, mirrors the distinctive veining of Stilton cheese and as a result lends itself to a high fashion look.
'We chose Brooke to model the dress as we wanted to transform her from how the public see her in the same way as we want to transform the way people see Stilton cheese; not just for special occasions, but as a versatile ingredient that can transform the simplest of everyday snacks or meals into magical dishes for every age group.'
Wearing the cream dress with shaded blue mottled effect to emulate the look of stilton, Brooke oozed elegance and maturity, looking a million miles away from her soap character.
The dress will be given away as a competition prize along with a pair of tickets to London Fashion Weekend.
"What next?? something made from vegetables..."
